Agency Boarding Homes (ABH)

The goal of the Agency Boarding Home program is to provide each child with an opportunity to strengthen his/her ability for close interpersonal relationships with within the Home and the neighborhood; to develop skills for independent living within the security of the Home and to survive the adolescent identity crisis with people who are able to provide more intensive help when it is needed.  Children and youth in this program return home, to adoption or to independence.  Each of the three off-campus Boarding Homes are staffed with  Child Care staff which includes either live-in or sleep-in House Parents, supplemented by Child Care staff for afternoons, evenings and weekends.   Youth in the homes are able to handle a higher level of independence and receive counseling and training to develop the skills needed for eventual full independence.
