Jason Bishop was a long-term foster child, moving from home to home from the age of five until he turned eighteen. While the average foster child spends about three years in care, Bishop and his siblings each spent more than ten. During that time, Jason’s interest and talent in magic began to take shape—he started performing and even won awards for his illusions.
He has starred in two of his own shows on Broadway, “Straight Up Magic” and “Believe in Magic”. He’s been featured on NBC’s Today Show, CW’s Masters of Illusion, Canada’s popular Breakfast Television Toronto, and Europe’s legendary Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Monde, filmed in Paris, France. The New York Times said, “How did he do that?” and “there’s real elegance and even wit in the precision of his gestures, the agility of each Finger”.
Bishop features stunning, original state-of-the-art magic. His virtuosity distinguished him; each show can feature award-winning sleight of hand, exclusive grand illusions, and close-up magic projected onto large screens along with the wit and timing of a professional comedian. Bishop’s performance abilities have led him from China to Paris and Hollywood to New York City, as well as every state in between and over 40 countries on 6 continents.
Bishop has entertained celebrities like Christian Bale, Gerard Butler, Ice-T, Jennifer Aniston, Hank Azaria, and James Spader, among others. Jason’s combination of fast-paced illusions, comedy, sleight of hand, and audience participation has landed him in front of notable clients like MetLife, Securian, Cognizant, Little Caesars, and WLRK, to name just a few. Currently, Bishop performs in theaters, Performing Arts Centers, and corporate events internationally.
