Transitional Living

Transitional Living provides services to children leading up to discharge and follow up after aging out of the foster care system.  Youth in both this and in Supervised Independent Living Program live in apartments in the community.  They are either employed in the community or are attending vocational or academic programs such as Dutchess Community College.  The goal of both programs is to fully prepare youth to live on their own and be productive members of society.  An Independent Living Skills Specialist works intensively with youth to meet this goal.
