Young Mothers Program (YMP)
The Young Mothers Program is a growing program at the Children’s Home and was established to serve girls in foster care who become pregnant or are new mothers and need residential and support services. The goal of this program is to support the young women and their children as they work to develop a solid foundation for them to become good parents and self-sufficient adults. The services the girls receive include medical, family, educational, vocational, social, mental health counseling, youth mentoring and parenting. Girls in this program can move into the Transitional Living program or SILP apartments when ready for the next level of independence.
