Since 1847 the community has generously helped to provide for the most vulnerable children in the Hudson Valley. Children who have been abused, neglected and mistreated. Each year, hundreds of children find sanctuary at the Children’s Home; a safe, warm and caring place to lay their heads at night.
Dollars received from government funding cover about 92% of the actual cost of care. The Children’s Home relies on community support to ensure children receive the best care possible. Private funding from gifts, grants and interest on investments provide for enhanced services to children, including additional social workers, childcare staff, and our facility service dogs. Funds also support the children’s activities, special services to families, and enhanced services to youth transitioning to independence.
When you give to the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie you help children find healing and hope during their darkest times.
Any gift, big or small helps improve the lives of the children in our care. With your help, we can do more. We can give children who have lived through heartbreaking experiences a better chance at a brighter tomorrow. Please consider making a one-time donation or a monthly gift.
If you prefer to donate by check, please mail your donation to: Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie, 10 Children’s Way, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
