Volunteers play a crucial role in our work to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all of the children in our care. The outpouring of support from the community is critical to our success. In short, we could not fulfill our mission of serving at-risk children and their families without the help of community friends. The work we do with children and their families helps them move beyond their traumas and prepares them for a brighter future.
The Children’s Home is fortunate to have developed close relationships with many community members and groups who volunteer their time to further the agency’s mission. From youth groups like the Girl Scouts, to college sororities, fraternities and athletics teams, to local businesses and civic groups, the Children’s Home has a great friend in the community. On a typical day you will find student interns assisting staff and individuals volunteering their time to interact with the children.
