Community Based Services
Providing Healing and Hope Wherever You Need it Most
When you think about receiving services, where do you see yourself? At the park? In a library? On a walk? How about in your own home? These places offer comfort to so many, and our team can meet you there. That’s right, in a place where you are most comfortable. Our Community Based programs provide services in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, and Ulster counties. We strive to provide the highest level of care – care that is centered around your child and accessible to your family.
Allowing these services to take place where youth are most comfortable creates the strong rapport that is necessary to facilitate hope and change.
Our Children and Family Treatment Support Services include individual, family and group counseling. This program has components of targeted interventions to achieve optimal health and well being for youth and their families along with skill based components such as prevocational and daily living skills. The youth voice is so vital in the work we do and our team wants to be sure the youth and family feel empowered.
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids is a program funded by a grant from the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, a national non-profit public charity that brings children waiting in foster care one-step closer to being adopted into safe, loving and permanent homes. Our WWK program provides child-focused adoption recruiters that work in Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan counties in New York.
Come visit us at our new Family Center in Wingdale, NY. The Center provides a space for youth of all ages and their families to gather. The center includes space for literacy enrichment, homework support, sports and games, arts and crafts, cooking, sensory space, toddler activities, and more. There will also be services for individual and family therapy, support groups and skill building. The center is FREE and open to all for use.
Preventive
Our Mandated Preventive Services is provided in conjunction with the Dutchess County Department of Children and Family Services. Preventive is a program consisting of 30 families who are at risk and need support to stay intact. Our team consists of three Case Managers and a Clinician that can assess for risk and safety while providing comprehensive support services. The goal of this program is to keep at risk families intact and empower them to be successful independently in their community.
