On May 21, you have the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life by participating in the 10th Annual Hudson Valley Gives Day.
Hudson Valley Gives is a 24-hour day of giving that supports local nonprofits through passion, collaboration and the power of social media.
This year, your contribution to the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie will support Ivy’s Fund, helping to provide hope, safety, and healing through our extraordinary Facility Service Dogs, like Elvis, who proudly carries on the legacy of Ivy.
These remarkable dogs are more than companions—they’re a lifeline. They help youth who have experienced trauma feel safe enough to open up, build trust, and begin to heal.
How can you help?
We’ve set a goal to raise $10,000, and your support is vital because:
- In 2024, we said goodbye to two of our beloved dogs, Ace and Marshall, leaving Elvis with big paws to fill. While he continues to provide safety and healing, we’re ready to welcome a new facility dog, or two, to help meet the growing needs of our youth.
- Our dogs require ongoing care. From food and vet appointments to staff training and equipment, Ivy’s Fund ensures Elvis and future facility dogs are healthy, prepared, and fully equipped to comfort the children who need them most.
By giving a gift to Ivy’s Fund, you help sustain a legacy of hope. No gift is too small, and we are deeply grateful for your support in keeping this life-changing program going strong. Get ready to join us for an incredible 24-hour day of giving starting at 12:00am midnight on May 21.
