“Run for Home” Scheduled for August 21 on the Dutchess Rail Trail
Poughkeepsie, NY – The Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie’s Social Network Committee will host their third annual Run for Home, a 5K to Benefit the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, August 21, 2016. This year’s event will take place on the Dutchess Rail Trail at the Van Wyck Lane parking lot, located at the corner of Van Wyck Lane and Lake Walton Road, just off Route 376. Race Day Registration opens at 7:00 am; Kids 1 Mile Race begins at 8:00 am; and the 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:45 am. There will be age group awards, children’s activities and refreshments.
The Children’s Home Social Network Committee is a group of young professionals from throughout the Hudson Valley that was created to raise awareness of the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie and to develop a commitment to philanthropy among the next generation of community leaders. The Social Network presents fun and meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in that supports the work of the Children’s Home.
Individual 5K Walk/Run registrations are $25 ($35 on Race Day); kids are free if pre-registered ($10 on Race Day). To register for the event, visit www.childrenshome.us.
