Hudson Valley Gives is May 17!

    1024 373 Children's Home of Poughkeepsie

Did you hear? May 17, 2023, is the 8th annual Hudson Valley Gives Day!

What is Hudson Valley Gives? Hudson Valley Gives is a day of giving fueled by passion, collaboration and the power of social media. You can think of it as a type of digital telethon that benefits hundreds of much-deserving nonprofits in our area. At the Children’s Home, we see this as an incredible opportunity to unite our community around causes in which we truly believe in and help nonprofit organizations like ours connect to the larger community.

We need you, our community, to help us continue to create a world where every child and family have access to the tools, skills and support they need to thrive. That’s why this Hudson Valley Gives Day we’re asking you to help us raise $10,000 to support our Pro Social Skills and Development program for the kids and families we serve. Pro-Social Skills are essential building blocks to kids and families achieving their long term goals and can include educational, vocational, independent living, healthy relationships, self-advocacy, psychoeducation and group work. These skills give children and families the tools they need to successfully navigate independence within their own lives and THRIVE!

Will you help us reach our goal? Here’s how you can make a HUGE difference in the lives of children and families today:

    • Make a donation. You will have 24 hours to make your donation, and all giving will end at 11:59 pm on May 17. Click the button below to make a donation.

    • Spread the word. Text a friend. Forward this email. Post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #hvgives. Oh, and you can also just tell someone in person – that works, too!

Remember, our goal at the Children’s Home is to raise $10,000 in 24 hours! With your help, we know we can do it.
