With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marshall, our beloved Facility Service Dog, on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
Marshall, a Golden Retriever with a heart as golden as his coat, experienced an unforeseen medical emergency and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his primary handler Amy and her family.
Marshall faithfully served our children and families for eight years. He was more than a service dog; he was a source of comfort, joy, and healing for everyone fortunate to meet him.
Marshall recently celebrated his 10th birthday, a milestone that reminded us of the joy he brought to all of the youth and staff at the Children’s Home and our community over the years.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. Marshall’s dedication to his work and the unconditional love he shared will never be forgotten. He will forever remain in our hearts as a symbol of compassion and connection.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Amy and her family for their care and devotion to Marshall throughout the last few years. We also thank everyone who shared in Marshall’s journey and helped make his years of service so meaningful.
If you would like to make a gift in memory of Marshall, please consider giving to our Facility Dog Program: Ivy’s Fund.
