Supervised Independent Living

The Supervised Independent Living Program supports youth who live independently in the community, providing a transitional experience for those preparing to take on full responsibility for their own lives. At the Children’s Home, our top priority is helping youth move from a place of trauma toward healing and hope. Additionally, we focus on helping older youth develop essential independent living skills. This program serves youth aged 18–21 who have earned their high school diploma or GED and are either attending college or working in the community. Each apartment is fully equipped to help youth learn vital life skills, including meal preparation, housekeeping, financial management, and other necessary skills for independent living.
