The Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie hosted a facility service dog training on it’s campus in late June 2018. Led by Lu Picard, co-founder and director of programs at ECAD, Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities, Children’s Home staff participated in this week-long training with the newest member of our therapy team, facility service dog Elvis, a black lab, who will join Ace and Marshall doing amazing work with all our kids.
Additionally, staff from Violet Avenue Elementary School were on hand for the training, as they welcomed facility service dog Milano to their team.
Take a look at coverage from ABC News and the Poughkeepsie Journal.
